GLYDZ's story

  • The Personal Origins (2015–2021)

    Frustrated by often bulky and impractical urban transport options, the idea for a truly personal and efficient micro-mobility solution began to sprout. The quest for a device that could seamlessly integrate into daily life was underway.

  • The Birth of the Idea (2022)

    After ditching our impractical e-skate and talking to users, we knew we needed the 'AirPods of transport'. So we started imaginate what it could look like.

  • First Steps & Early Prototyping (2022–2023)

    The first GLYDZ prototypes took shape, testing innovative concepts, different engines, power levels, and exploring unique control concepts like the "push to start".

  • FIRST customer test (2023)

    Our exclusive Early Founders receive the first GLYDZ units! This crucial phase involves real-world testing, gathering valuable feedback on the needs of daily users.

  • Official first production line (2023)

    Scaling up: the first official GLYDZ production line is launched! The final design is locked in, incorporating feedback from early tests and confirming performance and portability specifications.

  • First prototype - 2022

    Incubated at business school under the name E-Glide, the concept soon grabbed attention of early followers, pushing us to build our first wooden prototype, bringing the concept to life.

  • Second prototype - 2023

    Moving to Madrid in order to scale the project, we created working prototypes. Skeptics questioned feasibility, but we had proof: the motor drove, the battery fit in a shoe. That validation pushed me forward against the doubt.

  • Third prototype - 2023

    After many improvements, GLYDZ came alive April 2023. Users loved its fun, intuitive feel. Patent filed. Then, crucial mentorship from a successful hardware entrepreneur shifted my entire approach.
